Norwegian proggers Gazpacho bring out their next album “March of Ghost” (2012). Not too many surpises as they stick to their own signature: layers of intens emotional music.

Absolutely NO METAL album, this new one by Opeth. But who cares ? I think it’s a great album with a lot of experimentation going on: from folk to even jazz. A sound that unmistakably goes back to the dark seventies mixing influences from King Crimson to Camel. The heavy guitars riffs are spare and there’s a lot more accoustic instrumentation to be found here. And ofcourse the superb vocals by Mickael.
For me the new path Opeth took with this album works, but what about the hardcore deathmetal fans ?
